Personne ne sait d'où vient et qui est cet étrange M'taar de Solaris. Tout ce qu'on sait, c'est qu'il a été énucléé dans son enfance et qu'il n'avait pas de parents connus, devant voler pour survivre, souvent par la force. Il ne parle que très rarement et est très docile, alors il ne révèle rien sur son passé et garde son voile de mystère.
Il est âgé de 17 ans quand le jeune seigneur Mashar choisira de le prendre à son service après avoir vu ses capacités. Le jeune homme acceptera, n'ayant aucun remord à tuer si ça peut lui apporter de quoi vivre frugalement.
Il est désormais un des assassins les plus renommés de la cours, en particulier pour sa cécité qui ne semble pas le gêner le moins du monde.
Il tue en se basant sur les Fables Esmériennes. Si par exemple il y avait eu "Le Loup et l'agneau" sur Esmera, il aurait fait marcher sa victime les yeux bandés dans un terrain rempli de pièges à loups: si la victime récite bien la fable, elle a des bonnes indications (pour arriver vers une mort plus rapide de sa main alors qu'elle croit gagner sa vie), sinon, couic.

Nobody knows where does this strange M'taar from Solaris comes and who he is. All we know is that he was enucleated in his childhood and that he had no known relatives, had to steal to survive, often by force. He speaks rarely and is very docile, so he does not reveal anything about his past and keeps his mystery.
He's 17 years old when the young king Mashar choose to take him at his own service after seeing his capabilities. The young man will accept, having no remorse in killing if it can bring him something to live frugally.
He's now one of the most respected assassins of the court, especially for his blindness which does not seem to interfere in his work.
